Meet Nala, a sweet and resilient 4-year-old Labrador mix who has made incredible strides since arriving at TLC in October 2022. When Nala came to us, she had never experienced human interaction, had no name, wasn’t potty trained, and had never stepped on grass or played with toys. She was also initially fearful of men, making it a challenge for her to trust anyone.

Since then, Nala has blossomed into an affectionate and playful dog, overcoming her anxieties and stress with the help of dedicated care and love. After working through various behavioral and anxiety issues with the help of medication and training, Nala is now medication-free and living her best life!

Here’s what Nala has achieved:- **Health**: UTD on vaccinations, spayed, house-trained, and crate-trained.
– **Behavior**: Nala walks well on a leash, loves to play ball, and comes on recall. She enjoys car rides and will happily accept a pup cup.
– **Personality**: Nala is food and treat motivated and has learned to trust both men and women, happily accepting affection from everyone. She thrives on human interaction and loves pawing for more petting once she gets a taste of attention.

Nala went through a 5-day training program in January, where she showed amazing progress and gained confidence in herself and her abilities.

Nala is looking for a **two-person household** or someone who works from home. She thrives with a structured schedule and a more consistent routine to feel her best. She’d also love to have a fellow lab to play with as she enjoys chewing on bones and having a buddy to interact with.
