Teal is a gorgeous 7 year old pure bred Lab.

It took her a while to adjust to her foster home, but given time she has blossomed into a great companion. She  is a “Velcro Dog” who sticks to her person.

She is housebroken and crate trained, though she doesn’t care much for being locked in the crate.

She has had free run of the house during my absences and at night.

She will sleep in her crate all night.

She does exhibit some separation anxiety when left alone. Nothing destructive, but some barking and howling.

I believe she would do best in a home where someone was home with her most of the time.

Her previous family said that she was terrified of thunderstorms, and I have only had one storm to gauge her response, and yes, she gets very agitated in a thunderstorm.

Teal has been very well behaved around other dogs. I haven’t exposed her to cats, but based on her strong prey drive with the local squirrels and rabbits, I would be very careful introducing her to cats.

It was obvious from the start that Teal had not spent much time on a leash, We have worked on that every day, and she has responded well to training, but will need more work.

She really looks forward to our walks.

She’s a sweetheart of a dog.
